Sometimes a picture tells it all. The trust that is earned and the care it takes to ensure it, and not to break the spirit from within.

The Bayou 2... The Persian Rug...
Here is the final picture of Bayou 2. I finished the wood burning, then did a little water paints and acrylic paints to fill in the blanks. It covers up pretty well. Lesson learned, always look for the flaws before you start burning and don’t just assume!

The Bayou 2
Sometimes you start to work on a picture and things just happen. Seems this board that I decided to use has had some kind of wood filler added to it and I didn’t actually notice until I started working on it.
As you can see the filler goes across the whole board, and will not burn.
So, I will continue burning the picture until it is finished and then I will I think I will try a little acrylic paint to fill in the blank so to speak.
This is a good stopping place I will try to finish this , and add a little color and see how it look then.

The First Steps of Spring
Do you remember the first spring run with no shoes and the springy grass tickling the bottom of your feet? The smell of the flowers and the grass while the warm sun warmed your back and face. Here is my efforts to the memories:)
The Bayou
There is nothing like a glimpse over a bayou to make the mind wander to the mystic of the place, and wanting to capture that feeling I decided to try my hand at woodburning a picture of a little piece of the bayou and adding a touch of water colors to bring out the beauty of the place.
I really love the look of it and the colors.
Now to put the edging around the picture and sealing it. It will be ready to be shipped off to its new home:) I hope my dear friend enjoys it as much as I did in creating it:)

The Yin and Yang
The Yin and Yang of Ancient Chinese Taoist philosophy explains the world in terms of two forces-Yin and Yang.
The dragon and tiger have long been symbols of these two forces. The dragon, a mythical animal thought to reign over the heavens, stands for yang. The tiger, respected in ancient China as mightiest of the wild beasts, stands for yin. The screens illustrate why these two animals, both of them powerful and strong, are fitting symbols for yin and yang.
Had a customer to request this purse for this relative. I really love the looks of it. Very eye catching. Just need to add the strap for the handle

Little Cowgirls
Since we are expecting a little bundle of joy at the end of this year I notice my eye is being caught by all the cute little picture of baby boys and girls. Having done “These Boots”, with the sweet little boy in his fathers boots, we know I wouldn’t want to be showing favoritism to little boy. I had to try my hand at making a picture of a little girl.
Such a little sweetheart
Now then with the both together they make a very sweet grouping. Now I just have to decide what kind of edging to do them! Are do you think they need to be framed out? Let me know what you think.

These Boots
I have always loved pictures that touches something in my own life. When I found one similar to this one i just had to see if I could capture the moment of innocents with a glimpse of the future in it.
To me there isn’t anything more touching than a picture of a baby or an older person. The seem to give a hint of the future, or the past:) Here is my version of a glimpse of the future.
