Here is the final picture of Bayou 2. I finished the wood burning, then did a little water paints and acrylic paints to fill in the blanks. It covers up pretty well. Lesson learned, always look for the flaws before you start burning and don’t just assume!
Had a new friend to tell me ‘“There are no flaws. You simply have a Persian Rug. As it happens, in Persia where rugs are handmade, the rugmakers always put a flaw into their rugs. They call this the Persian Rug Flaw. The reason they do this is because they believe that "Only God can make perfection", therefore, to make a rug without a mistake is an affront to God. Thus the flaw . So welcome to ...my Persian Rug!
